Bob Nickless – Senior Engineer
Last November, I was challenged by one of our clients to install a Multihead Weigher during the peak of annual production. Presented with an opportunity I scoped, procured, delivered, installed & commissioned the line with the assistance of Pavol, Shaun & Steve.
Initially, we ran product trials with our supplier, where the client approved the trial. Upon completion we waited 22 weeks for the machinery to arrive. Included in the scope was to remove old equipment, create an independent CDM area, ingress all the material and manage a safe installation inside the area.
We entirely negated all business disruption with the steps we took, and the project came in under budget and on time.
Since the success of this project, our client is now looking to redesign a huge amount of their factory, and I am looking forward to works beginning towards the end of the year.
Most importantly, I’m thankful to our client for giving me the opportunity to take on such a difficult piece of work – I’m incredibly proud we installed it without disruption and they trust us to continue to design their factories.
